Children & Families at GBA
Our Mission at GBA Kids is to share in God’s plan of redemption through raising up little disciples to intimately experience His grace, know His gospel, and be transformed by His Spirit.
The GBA children’s ministry is a place where each child is valued as a covenant member of God’s body, the Church, and trained in how to experience God’s grace made physical in the sacraments and in life. It is a place where robust, Bible-based teaching is made accessible through animated instruction, artistic expression, and life application. Staff and kids alike love connecting with new families and welcoming new friends into our classrooms. Come join us this Sunday as we explore God’s word together!
GBA Littles
Ages 0-4
This is our nursery classroom. GBA Littles is a time of play and exploration. Jesus-loving staff engage with the littlest ones in our community and uphold high standards of safety and sanitation.
GBA Kids
Ages 5-10
GBA Kids is characterized by discussion based, gospel centered lessons that follow a consistent weekly liturgy and coincide with the themes of the liturgical season we are in. Our goal is three-fold:
First, that children gain a thorough understanding of salvation by grace through faith in Jesus.
Second, that they build the skills necessary to understand and apply what goes on in the main service.
Third, to understand how to grow in their walk with Jesus through reading the scriptures, prayer, and intentional community.
Kids spend much of the service worshipping with the adults, so our time together is short. But it is filled with engaging skits, challenging discussion, and activities that help kids to apply and understand the scriptures.
Director of Children & Family Ministries
We are currently looking for a part-time Children's minister.
Position Summary
The Children’s Ministry Director helps Great Bay Anglican Church form children as lifelong disciples of Jesus within the worshiping life of the Church.
This role is not simply responsible for providing childcare or running a Sunday program. Its purpose is to help children hear and understand the Word of God, encounter the living God through worship and the sacramental life of the Church, and grow in a deep sense of belonging within the body of Christ.
The Children’s Ministry Director will oversee the regular rhythms of children’s ministry at GBA, equip and support volunteers, communicate with families, and help translate the church’s vision for catechesis into practical ministry.
